Michele Sabia Bio

Michele Sabia, Sifu 3rd Dan, began training with Yees
Hung Ga International Kung Fu Association in August of
2001 under the instruction of Sifu Ben Smith and Sifu
Tony Best of the Carlstadt, NJ Branch. Both are senior
disciples of Master Pedro Cepero Yee. She received her
Yap Moon Discipleship with Sifu Ben Smith in June of
2006 and obtained her rank as Jow Gow (Black Belt) in May of 2008.
In January 2014, after the closing of the Carlstadt Branch,
Michele began training directly with her Si-Gung Pedro
Cepero Yee as well as taking private lessons with her
Sifu, Ben Smith. In October of 2016 she received her Yup
Sut Discipleship and in October of that year, she was also promoted to the rank of Sifu, 1st Dan. Michele has also competed locally earning many gold, silver and bronze medals in fighting and then culminating in November 2018, as she made her first trip to compete overseas at the World Hung Kuen Championships, in Xiqiao, Foshan, China. Here Michele earned the gold medal along with the title of World Double Ended Pole champion and a Bronze Medal in the Gung Ji Kuen Division. In June of 2019 she tested and was again promoted to the rank of Sifu, 2nd Dan. Michele became a board member and the Second Vice President of Yees Hung Ga International Kung Fu. In May 2021, she tested and graduated up to the 3'rd Dan level. 


Michele is a licensed massage therapist with 12 years of experience. She is a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionala (ABMP). A graduate of the Helma Institute of Massage Therapy, she specializes in deep tissue, swedish, sports, chair, and pre-natal massage.
